Coalescing Working Principle
Pre-treated compressed air (≤1 ppm liquid oil) from P040AO medium coalescer enters outer polyester drainage fleece; large water and oil droplets separate and drain downwards to the housing drain port by gravity.
Remaining 0.01 μm submicron oil mist penetrates multi-layer gradient micro-glass fiber media; tiny oil particles collide, aggregate and coalesce into continuous liquid oil films on fiber surfaces.
Ultra-polished compressed air (residual liquid oil ≤0.01 ppm) flows downstream to P040ACS activated carbon stage for oil vapor and odor removal.
The element cannot be cleaned or regenerated on-site. Once saturated with oil sludge and dust, differential pressure surges and separation efficiency fails, requiring full cartridge replacement.
